How to fix USB not recognized?

Removable drives are now frequently used for backup and transferring files from your office to your home computer. Sometimes, when you plug your USB it indicates an error "USB Device not recognized". Your lucky if the USB Drive itself is not damage it can easily fix by doing the below process.



"USB Device Not Recognized! One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it, For assistance in solving this problem, click this message."

First Method

1. Just unplug and plug it again. Your lucky if it fixed. If not go to second.

Second Method

1.Shutdown your computer and unplug power supply from power outlet.
2.Then plugin your computer again and turn it on.
3.Reconnect your USB, see if fix if not be patience try the next.

Third Method

Reinstall USB driver
1. click windows logo(start menu) In the search box type Device Manager.
2. Explore to Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right click on a device and select Uninstall. Do the same for each device.
3. After finish uninstall, restart your PC. The controller for your USB will install automatically. If not resolve go to next.

Fourth Method

Disable the USB selective suspend setting
1. Click windows logo(start menu) In the search box type power plan
2. Then tick choose a power plan.
3. Inline with your current plan, select Change Plan Setting. then change advanced power settings.
4. Explore to USB Setting, then explore to USB selective suspend setting.
6. Select Plugged in, then on drop down menu select disabled.
7. Apply and OK.

If none of the above solve the problem, maybe you need to update your windows or install motherboard driver.
