As a Company IT I encountered this kind of error several times. This error occurred when something interrupting your send/receive on your outlook. And I tried different solution for this error.

- Firewall or anti virus rules
- Mis-configured outlook
- large amount of PST files
- Internet connectivity interruption.
Possible solution.
1. Check your internet connection.

2. Close your outlook and disable your antivirus and your windows firewall then open your outlook and try to send/receive. See if error fix if not proceed to next step.
3. Check your outlook configuration, are you using the correct port for your POP or SMTP.
5. Maybe your PST file is corrupted try to delete and re-add your user accounts. Or use PST repair tools.
