Miriam 'not impressed' with J.Lo show

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago on Tuesday said that she was not impressed by the concert of high-octane performer Jennifer Lopez. The senator said the show was too loud and she preferred the opera and ballet  

Santiago said that she watched Lopez's concert for "exposure" and "total immersion."

"I was shocked beyond belief at the attack, the assault on my ears.  It was so loud and there were so many people," she said.

"They turned themselves into a frenzy so actually they were worshiping at the foot of someone who is no longer human, they transformed her, she morphed into a digital idol," she added.

Santiago said that in her opinion, the country needs more classical musicians, opera singers, and ballet dancers.

"I'm a strictly highbrow girl.  I like classical music, opera and ballet particularly abroad," she said. — DVM, GMA News
