Summer travel to Sorsogon in Bicol Region Philippines.

It's summer time, Your I.T. buddy also travel. And we've been in my home province Sorsogon in Bicol, Last April 2017 during holy week. In the last few year's Sorsogon, is never heard in terms of tourist travel. But change has come, every municipality in Sorsogon has its own amazing tourists spots and views that travelers may enjoy.

How to get there?

You can get there by BUS or by plane. From Manila by plane you can take direct flights to Legaspi City it takes only 50 minutes on plane and from Legaspi, you can ride on jeepney for almost an hour to Sorsogon City. If you're planning to travel by land or taking a BUS from Araneta Center - Cubao It takes 13 hours of driving via AH26 pan-philippine highways. To get around you can rent a car in sorsogon city or take a commuter jeepney.

(Trivia: AH26 is the route number given to the 3,517-kilometer Philippine segment of the Asian Highway Network. The main road on the AH26 route is the Pan-Philippine Highway. Single-digit numbers following "AH" (currently from AH1 to AH8) are assigned to routes that cross more than one subregion in Asia. The longest among these is the AH1 route, which is over 20,557 kilometers long, and runs from Tokyo, Japan, to the Turkey-Bulgaria border in southeast Europe.routes with two- or three-digit numbers – like AH26 – are those within a subregion (including those connecting to a neighboring subregion) and within member countries.source:)

Where to stay?

You can stay at the capital, Sorsogon city. There are cheap hotels in Sorsogon city you can choose from villa Isabel hotel, Siama hotel, Fernandos hotel and more.

We visited Olango beach in sta magdalena, bulusan lake, nasipit falls in bulusan, Irosin hotspring, and we surf at buenavista surf camp in gubat.
