How to share folder in Windows 10 without password.

Windows 10 shared folder is very useful if you are connected to a network for easy access to a file within your network. But have you tried to access shared folder or map network drive from Windows 10, you will see that it prompted a login box for you to enter the credentials to access that folder. In my experience, I tried any user and password on source and destination and none that work. Unlike on Windows XP and Windows 7 you can easily map or share folder, but on this latest windows it added security on file sharing.

"Message: Enter the password to connect to: | user name | password | domain"

What you do is just removed the password on shared folder to work like on windows 7 for I can easily access shared folder without prompting credentials.

1. On the PC where the folder or drive is located. Go to control panel
2. Open network and sharing center
3. Click Change advance sharing setting
4. Click on All Networks
5. Then select  turn off password protected sharing by clicking it. Save changes. (see image below)
